Southern Cross Catholic Vocational College (SCCVC) engagesyoung people in developing skills for success in life, learning andemployment, through personalised learning opportunities within a holistic, Catholic community. It is committed to providing highquality personalised learning focussed on delivering vocational education and training (VET) qualifications.
Its $25 million state-of-the-art facilities opened in 2010 and since this time has delivered 15 VET qualifications to over 600 students. Its students typically undertake three vocational course offerings,together with other complementary courses, to pursue their post-school ambitions while successfully meeting nationally recognised training qualification requirements and the New South Wales Higher School Certificate.
SCCVC’s learning, well-being, apprenticeship/traineeship and enterprise programs are offered to students and tailored to their capacities, goals and aspirations. It is committed to ensuring students become the best people they can be and undertake the best training on and off campus, so they can emerge confident, skilled and employable.
SCCVC won the School Pathways to VET Award at the 2013 Australian Training Awards. The award recognises an organisation (or partnership) that has delivered excellent vocational education and training program/s to secondary school students.
