Australian Government award categories:
- 16 March 2026 - Nominations open
- 3 June 2026 - Nominations close
- August 2026 - Finalists for the Excellence in Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice Award are notified and judging interviews are conducted
- August 2026 - Shortlisted nominees for organisation categories notified and the site visits commence
- September 2026 - Judging interviews for the organisation categories are conducted
- October 2026 - Organisation category finalists are notified
State and territory aligned organisation award categories:
- August to September 2026 - State and territory awards are held and winners are announced
- September 2026 - Shortlisted nominees are notified and site visits commence
- October 2026 - Judging interviews are conducted
State and territory aligned individual award categories:
- 4 November 2026 - VET Teacher/Trainer of the Year award judging interviews are conducted
- 5 November 2026 - All student award judging interviews are conducted
Other Key Dates
- October 2026 - Finalists announced
- 17-20 November 2026 - Ambassador Week
- 20 November 2026 - Australian Training Awards presentation event
All nominees and finalists must be available on the above listed dates to participate in all Australian Training Award activities
