Believing university was her only option, Sarah initially started a degree as an early childhood teacher, only to realise it wasn’t for her. Looking for a career that sounded interesting and matched her willingness to learn, Sarah signed up for an Australian Apprenticeship in electrotechnology that was advertised in the local paper.
In 2013, she was named Queensland Apprentice of the Year and was a finalist in the same category at the 2013 Australian Training Awards.
Sarah is now an Australian Apprenticeships Ambassador for the Australian Government.
