Certificate III in Tourism
A proud Aboriginal man with a strong connection to his culture, Ethan Atkinson appreciated the hands-on learning inherent to his traineeship. Ethan’s training helped him build his confidence as he performed solo presentations as part of Dreamworld’s corroboree. He has also learnt about the culture and language of other Aboriginal people and hopes to one day apply his tourism skills to work around the world. Ethan is also a keen sportsperson, competing and training at an elite level both in Mackay and on the Gold Coast. In addition to his Certificate III in Tourism, he is also undertaking a certificate III in Fitness, and hoping to gain work placement with the Gold Coast Titans NRL Football Club. His rugby league coach and mentor Mark O’Brien as well as The Preston Campbell Foundation are supporting him in his application.
