Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Meat Safety)
For Claire McLeary, studying a Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Meat Safety) was a way to support an industry she is passionate about. Claire’s workplace can now operate more efficiently, without needing to rely on a travelling meat inspector. Completing training has given Claire the confidence and assertiveness to tackle issues, solve problems and deal with various regulatory bodies in her workplace. She is able to lead by example and act as a role model, integrating and sharing new skills, knowledge and procedures with her colleagues. Working in a male-dominated field, Claire hopes to inspire other women to enter the industry and to make the most of the great employment opportunities it offers. A busy mother of four and an active member of the local community, Claire is also the first female trainer at her local football club.
