Certificate III in Carpentry

Proving it is never too late to follow your dreams is finalist Jamie Stewart. In his late 20s, Jamie decided to embark on a new career and applied for a mature age apprenticeship in carpentry. A former restaurant owner, Jamie is passionate about his trade and now owns his own construction company, which is 100% indigenous owned and operated. With a burning desire to effect positive change, Jamie strives to be a role model for his young son, as well as the wider community. A natural leader, Jamie is passionate about well-rounded education and hopes to share his experiences and knowledge with others. Jamie believes training has the power to give individuals direction, discipline, practical skills and passion while opening up a world of opportunity. He says the challenge is to be true to yourself, recognise what inspires you and to have the courage to chase your dreams.
