The Large Training Provider of the Year Award recognises a registered training organisation that has demonstrated outstanding achievement in all aspects of the delivery of vocational education and training.
Chisholm Institute is one of Victoria’s most successful providers of public vocational education and training with over 400 nationally recognised courses and provides leading vocational and higher education products that meet the learning needs of over 40,000 students and clients annually. Chisholm operates across seven locations in Melbourne’s southeast and throughout regional Victoria, online and in the workplace through national and international partnerships. Chisholm offers certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate courses, short courses and degree programs.
In November 2014, Chisholm was named Australia’s Large Training Provider of the Year at the Australian Training Awards, recognising its outstanding leadership position in successfully transitioning its operation through a period of intense change within the Victorian vocational education and training sector.
"This award recognises our strategic planning and reflects our commitment to effectively engage with the community and industry and forge enduring partnerships within our local region and beyond. It also reflects our reliability, our integrity and strength as a quality education and training provider resulting in great student and client outcomes." said Maria Peters, Chisholm’s Chief Executive Officer.
Chisholm has remained committed to its strategic direction and community responsibilities, emerging as one of the top performing TAFEs in Victoria. Chisholm’s strong operational results, clear strategy and commitment to being an institute, workplace and partner of choice are the result of the commitment and work of our staff, our leaders and our Board.
As a proud public TAFE Institute, Chisholm is committed to building enduring relationships with industry and the wider community, with projects designed to grow educational opportunities and to build workforce capabilities across key industry sectors and areas of specialisation.
"Winning this award is recognition of the importance of the public provision of vocational education and training, a sector within education that is not well acknowledged for its significant impact on the economy and society. Quality vocational education and training, such as that provided by Chisholm, develops practical skills, technical knowledge and offers important pathways to careers needed for the ongoing development of our workforce, growth in industry and the economic sustainability of our communities." continues Ms Peters.
