As a mature-aged apprentice, Kathryn found a passion for ‘working on the tools.’ She is now a skilled sparky, an invaluable team member at Star Electrical, and a tireless advocate for women in trades.
Having completed her Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician through NECA Training (RTO) and NECA Electrical Apprenticeships (GTO), Kathryn has a world of opportunities at her feet and a network of supportive colleagues behind her every step of the way. She is active in Star Electricals’ mentoring program and she has embraced leadership roles to promote inclusivity and foster diversity in the workplace. Her tenacity shines through in everything she does, and she’s using her own lived experiences to support the next generation of electrical apprentices coming through the ranks.
