After discovering her passion for working with young people during a business administration traineeship, Kayla knew she had found her calling.
Determined to make a meaningful difference, Kayla completed her Certificate IV in Youth Work through TAFE Queensland while employed as a trainee with the Vocational Partnership Group (VPG) in Cairns. She is now a full-time youth worker with VPG. She is an integral part of the VPG’s First Nations Leadership Team, which involves organising cultural events and delivering cultural awareness training.
Kayla facilitates and delivers the Respect Me program, which promotes respectful relationships to primary and secondary school students. She also delivers the Ready for Work program which helps young people prepare for employment and obtain their driver’s licence.
Dedicated to empowering young people and advocating for their needs, Kayla strives to inspire others with her passion for positive change.
