Rebecca knows the power of vocational education, and how it can transform lives. She turned her own life around through a vocational pathway, and she’s now using her lived experience to support others navigating similar challenges.
Rebecca completed a Certificate IV in Community Services through TAFE Digital—TAFE NSW’s online learning platform. The flexibility of online learning allowed her to balance her studies while rebuilding her life. Midway through the course, she secured a role as a support worker at a residential rehabilitation centre, where she provides trauma-informed care to her clients.
Rebecca is a passionate advocate for recovery and lived-experience support for First Nations and rural communities. She is continuing her vocational journey through a Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs, and has her sights set on case work and outreach roles. Rebecca has found her calling, and she is thriving. Thanks to TAFE Digital, she is streaming success.
