With a strong commitment to student engagement, Tarmi uses flipped classrooms, simulations, and trauma-informed methods to meet the diverse learning needs of her student cohort. One of her most successful innovations has been the use of real case simulations, where students explore progressive case file activity, practice risk assessments, and engage with complex justice concepts.
Committed to inclusive, trauma-informed, and transformative teaching practices, Tarmi is building new career pathways into the justice sector. She is also encouraging students to follow further education pathways, including degrees in criminology and law.
