Having supported more than 250 apprentices and trainees over the past decade, the Santos-Programmed workforce development partnership is helping to shape the future of Australia’s energy industry.
At the heart of the partnership is a training model that places apprentices and trainees first. Through tailored programs, workplace mentoring, hands-on guidance and personalised support, the partnership is delivering exceptional completion rates while building a pipeline of skilled, work‑ready professionals.
The partnership provides long-standing support to the National Energy Technician Training Scheme, with many apprentices and trainees progressing from this industry-leading initiative into leadership positions and meaningful long-term careers.
The partnership also achieves strong diversity outcomes, with 31 percent female participation and 36 percent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation across all of its programs.
Through its sustained investment in local talent, diversity, community engagement and workforce capability, the Santos-Programmed partnership is creating lasting economic and social benefits for communities across Australia.
