Stirling Ludwick completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment through RAM Training Services Pty Ltd while employed by the GMYPPBC. The qualification strengthened his confidence, leadership capability, and ability to design culturally grounded learning that connects vocational skills with Country, community and conservation.
Beginning as a trainee ranger in 2023, Stirling progressed to Junior Ranger Team Leader, supervising cohorts and mentoring young people through safe, practical on-Country learning experiences. His guidance has supported participants to complete conservation, first aid and diving -training while creating pathways into further education and employment. He is now preparing to deliver accredited training through the GMYPPBC Ranger Program.
Deeply connected to family and community in Yarrabah, Stirling balances professional development with caring responsibilities and community leadership. He represents the GMYPPBC at national forums, advocates for community-led conservation, and inspires Rangers and young people to embrace education, cultural knowledge, environmental stewardship and lifelong learning. Through his leadership and dedication to community, Stirling is helping build opportunities for the next generation while strengthening connections between culture, learning and caring for Country.
