After studying music and science at university, Anna Oliphant Wright followed in her electrician father's footsteps and pursued a career in the trades. Anna completed a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician at Holmesglen Institute and is employed by Alstom. Her apprenticeship provided experience across construction, industrial controls and safety-critical rail signalling, building a strong foundation in complex electrical and rail environments.
While working on the Metro Tunnel project, Anna developed an Excel estimating tool that identified previously unrecognised productivity impacts, supporting more accurate project forecasting, timelines and variation claims.
Anna's achievements have been recognised through the 2022 Junior Apprentice of the Year award and Holmesglen's 2026 Apprentice of the Year award. Alongside her technical work, Anna is committed to supporting others through Mental Health First Aid and community involvement.
