Emily Mackney completed a Certificate III in Business through the Institute of Skills and Training Australia while employed by GTNT Group and hosted by the Power and Water Corporation. Working within the Property and Land Tenure Team, Emily developed expertise in administration, compliance, reporting and land tenure processes while delivering meaningful business improvements.
Emily helped achieve a 50 per cent reduction in sacred sites vegetation management operating costs and created templates that improved consistency and processing times. Her contribution earned her a Power and Water Rising Star nomination and quarterly recognition, while she became a semi-finalist in the NT Young Achiever Awards and a finalist in the GTNT Awards.
Resilient, curious and community-minded, Emily mentors young people and supports local sporting teams. Now progressing through a Certificate IV in Business, she hopes to support future trainees to build confidence, develop workplace skills and make a positive contribution to their communities.
