Kiara Watts completed a Certificate III in Individual Support through Coffs Coast Community College and now works at Pillars of Care. After becoming disengaged from formal education as a teenager and feeling uncertain about her future, Kiara took her first steps back into learning through short courses in barista skills, food safety and first aid. Each achievement helped rebuild her confidence and encouraged her to pursue a vocational qualification.
Through her training, Kiara developed skills in person-centred care, communication and professional practice, preparing her for a career supporting others. Kiara now supports clients with empathy, respect and a genuine commitment to their dignity and independence.
Completing her qualification has o transformed Kiara’s confidence both professionally and personally. From securing meaningful employment to achieving financial independence and buying her first car, she has created opportunities she once struggled to imagine.
