Employer: MAX Solutions

Adam Houston is Project Initiatives Coordinator at MAX Solutions and an adult educator specialising in language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills. Across 14 years, he has progressed from frontline delivery in the Skills for Education and Employment and Adult Migrant English programs to designing targeted workplace initiatives for industries and learner cohorts.  

Adam creates flexible, learner-centred programs that embed foundation skills in authentic tasks, including workplace communication, financial capability, digital literacy and vocational training. His work has supported PALM visa workers, culturally and linguistically diverse aged-care employees, people with disability, First Nations learners and people facing barriers to education or employment. He also mentors trainers, strengthens pre-training assessment practice and collaborates with employers and community stakeholders to improve program quality and workforce outcomes.  

Adam holds a Bachelor of Adult and Vocational Education in language, literacy and numeracy and a Graduate Certificate in TESOL, combining educational expertise with practical program design.
