Having lived experience facing challenges as a single mother, Alyssa decided to pursue a vocational pathway to influence, support and advocate for the most vulnerable people in the community. She completed a Diploma of Community Services at Key 2 Learning College and is employed at EveryMan Australia.

Having joined EveryMan Australia as a support worker in 2021, Alyssa was promoted to a case worker position within three months. Her responsibilities include supporting men with high and complex needs, supporting men reintegrating into the community after incarceration, and supporting Indigenous families at risk of homelessness.

Alyssa is passionate about her work in the community services sector, and her VET qualification has enhanced her career opportunities and allowed her to consider higher level positions in her workplace.

As a busy mum running a business and working full-time, Alyssa’s RTO offered her the flexibility, support and encouragement she needed to complete her qualification.
