Andrew has been teaching trade apprenticeship programs and bespoke VET in Schools courses for 20 years. He is a campus leader, apprenticeship coordinator and leading vocational teacher at the Emerald Campus of CQUniversity Australia.
Andrew loves the profession of teaching and the enormity of responsibility it entails. He delivers VET with enthusiasm, patience and encouragement, and he’s committed to promoting quality education and community engagement across regional Central Queensland.
Andrew has taught thousands of apprentices. He mentors students from diverse backgrounds and uses innovative teaching methods at the Emerald Campus’ School of Trades.
On completing his own apprenticeship at the CSIRO in Sydney, Andrew worked Australia-wide. He even started his own business, providing metal fabrication and welding services to coal mine sites within the Bowen Basin. Never one to sit still, he completed a Bachelor of Learning Management in 2013. He is an experienced, passionate and dedicated VET teacher.
