Qualification: Certificate III in Stonemasonry

RTO: FCTA - Building Careers

Employer: Taylor Made Heritage Restoration

Bianca’s passion for heritage restoration work emerged very early. She entered a stonemasonry apprenticeship at the age of 16 and completed her training four years later. As part of her apprenticeship, Bianca was enrolled in a Certificate III in Stonemasonry at FCTA – Building Careers.

At 20 years of age, Bianca achieved two incredible milestones. She became the first female to complete a stonemasonry apprenticeship in South Australia, and she started her own business – Taylor Made Heritage Restoration.

Her heritage trade skills proved invaluable on the Adelaide Railway Station restoration and Royal Adelaide Hospital redevelopment, and a 2024 Cathedrals’ Workshop Fellowship allowed her to work alongside master stonemasons on the conservation of Exeter Cathedral in the UK.

Bianca is currently undertaking a Certificate III in Heritage Trade Skills, and her future is bright – she hopes to mentor aspiring stonemasons, promote sustainable industry practices and preserve South Australia’s rich architectural history.
