Having invested in the development of skilled automotive technicians for more than four decades, BMW Group Australia employs more than 500 qualified light vehicle automotive technicians nationwide.
As a specialist group training organisation, NextGen Jobs is dedicated to creating innovative apprenticeship pathways in emerging technology-focused industries.
In close partnership with Bendigo Kangan Institute’s Automotive Centre of Excellence, the #NextTech program was created in response to growing automotive skills shortages and the rapid transition to new and electric vehicle technologies.
Since its launch in 2021, #NextTech has engaged 167 apprentices across Australia and achieved an 82 percent three-year retention rate.
By integrating nationally recognised training, personalised mentoring and BMW's technical development framework, this accelerated apprenticeship pathway is preparing the next generation of Australia’s automotive workforce.
