Consolidated Group is a WA-owned Civil Earth Works and Plant Hire Services Company that has been resourcing the mining, government, transport, and construction sectors since 2013. The company began as a dry hire but began to win contracts that required wet hire (people and machines). This meant they needed to create a business model that included a large fleet of civil plant, the capabilities to train employees with operation skills, the knowledge of how to mechanically identify faults and lastly the proficiency in civil earthwork construction. Consolidated Group’s focus on training, upskilling and ongoing mentoring of staff has enabled it to reach new goals and extend the bar on what it can achieve.
Continued success and growth meant that the company had to move beyond internal training of Verification of Competencies in operating machinery and branch out into establishing a dedicated training department. This has led the company to partner with a local Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to skill the entire workforce in-house. The company sets itself apart from competition by focusing their efforts on the bottom up—training the people on the floor to become the management team.
