As a dedicated and dynamic VET educator, George delivers air conditioning and refrigeration training to diverse learner groups at CDU. He’s a champion of game-based learning and has developed more than 60 interactive games to make the technical content of his programs more accessible and engaging for students.
As a passionate lifelong learner, George is currently undertaking a PhD research project, in which he is exploring the participation of African adult learners in the Northern Territory.
As a mentor and team leader, George supports new electrotechnology, plumbing and automotive trainers at CDU, and contributes to national VET practice through his involvement with industry associations. He works hard to ensure the training delivered at CDU TAFE stays current, practical and aligned with industry needs.
George is passionate about promoting apprenticeships to young people, to help address the critical shortage of refrigeration and air conditioning tradespeople in the Territory.
