Jessica Burr completed a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management through Avidity Training and Development while working as Regional Manager for North and North West Tasmania with genU. Her connection to disability services began in childhood, supporting a cousin with disability, and has grown into an 18 year career spanning direct support, education, training, coordination and leadership roles.

Driven by a commitment to lifelong learning, Jessica undertook the qualification to deepen her expertise in leadership, workforce development, compliance and organisational change. The experience strengthened her ability to lead teams, navigate change and support sustainable service delivery in a complex and evolving sector.

Jessica now applies her knowledge to mentor emerging leaders, foster positive workplace cultures and strengthen services for people with disability. A passionate advocate for vocational education, she continues to invest in her own professional development while supporting others to learn, grow and succeed.

For Jessica, leadership is a deeply human endeavour, grounded in connection, trust and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.
