Joshua Forman is a student at Leighland Christian School who completed a Certificate III in Screen and Media with TasTAFE. Employed through Work & Training and hosted by his school, Joshua gained hands-on experience filming events, creating promotional content and learning what it takes to deliver engaging experiences for live audiences.
When his school did not offer the media program he was looking for, Joshua took the initiative to find another pathway. Through his traineeship, Joshua developed real world skills in videography, live production and sports broadcasting. The opportunity allowed him to build industry experience, professional networks and confidence behind the camera while still at school.
Since then, Joshua has taken his skills beyond the classroom, livestreaming local football, filming community events and working alongside production crews. He now operates his own freelance videography business and hopes to build a career in sports broadcasting.
By creating opportunities for himself and embracing every chance to learn, Joshua is already turning his passion for media into a professional future.
