Maisa Lacasandile is an agricultural production trainer and assessor with CHM Alliance, delivering nationally recognised, workplace-based training across South Australian farms.

Beginning her career as a stockperson, Maisa progressed to section supervisor before discovering her passion for developing others. She now oversees trainees across the state, providing personalised coaching in the sheds where learning can be applied and reinforced in real time.

Maisa co-developed training and assessment materials for the world-first Maternity Ring, an innovative system designed to improve animal welfare outcomes across the industry. Recognising the diversity of her students, Maisa created an industry glossary that strengthens understanding, workplace communication and engagement in training.

Maisa’s practical, learner centred approach supports the adoption of new technologies, builds workforce capability and contributes to improved animal welfare practices.

Through her own progression from stockperson to trainer, Maisa demonstrates the opportunities vocational education creates for individuals, workplaces and regional communities.
