Maureen is a dedicated and passionate early childhood educator at Charles Darwin University (CDU). With 30 years’ experience in the early childhood sector, she has been teaching Certificate III and Diploma level programs at CDU for the past three years.

Maureen’s passion for training began when she worked in early childhood centres around Katherine. She always mentored the younger educators under her supervision to ensure they were equipped to provide exceptional care to the children. It was the type of training that resonated with her.

Maureen loves everything about her role at CDU, especially the autonomy to be innovative. She has an innate ability to guide, inspire and elevate the educational journey of her students, and her coaching and mentoring approach is positively impacting the young educators emerging from her programs.

“This role is perfect for me – it’s fun, fast-paced, evolving and a great sense of achievement,” Maureen says.
