After witnessing the incredible impact of nurses, Molly decided to undertake a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance as part of a School-based Traineeship with Tamworth Hospital.
Molly was so keen to get a head start in her chosen career that she took on a School-based Traineeship, starting her qualification with TAFE NSW. Molly was thrilled to connect with a purpose, “My traineeship lets me study something I’m passionate about, but it’s also given me a place where I feel at home,” says Molly. “The team I work with makes me feel appreciated and accepted for who I am.”
Molly’s experiences through vocational education and training have shaped her leadership and communication skills, so much so that she was invited to speak at an acute care conference for industry peers—a source of great pride.
With plans to study Registered Nursing at university, Molly is already on track for her dream career. “Nursing has had a massive impact on my life,” says Molly. “I’ve gained confidence, valuable skills and a sense of belonging—I’m excited about what my future holds.”
