Naomi was working at a local community house, sharing the coordinator’s role, when she took the initiative to study leadership and management. The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management was important to Naomi, saying the qualification gave her confidence to be more effective in her job. 

The flexibility of VET was also a big help to the mother of 5. Naomi also loved that she could apply her learning in her workplace straight away and she always looked forward to her next session.  

Naomi’s course has opened countless opportunities, equipping her with the skills to manage complex situations, positively influence others, and has given her the confidence to explore new career opportunities. This year Naomi started her career in the health industry and is working toward completing another qualification.  

Naomi actively promotes VET as a great pathway to develop skills and increase employment opportunities, saying you are never too old to learn.
