Polly Marks completed a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety through TIME Education and Training while working at Fulton Hogan Australia, finishing her traineeship 12 months ahead of schedule. Motivated by witnessing the consequences of unsafe workplaces, Polly has built a career focused on improving workplace safety, supporting workers and fostering a culture where everyone returns home safely. 

Polly’s approach extends well beyond compliance to embracing wellbeing, occupational hygiene, ethical practice, cultural understanding and inclusion. She contributed to risk assessment tools, strengthened procedures and delivered safety initiatives across multiple construction projects. Polly also served as a panellist for International Women’s Day, facilitated and hosted Fulton Hogan Australia’s Reconciliation Action Plan launch, and spoke to 100 secondary students at Ozwater25.  

A proud Kuyani woman and committed mentor, Polly advocates for Aboriginal engagement, women’s health and workplace inclusion. Recognised with Fulton Hogan’s Central Region Rising Star Award, Polly is helping shape a safety culture where every worker feels respected, supported and empowered to contribute.
