Rebecca Neumann is a Community Services lecturer at North Regional TAFE whose culturally safe, trauma-informed teaching is creating lasting opportunity across remote Western Australia.

Working with learners in Karratha and Roebourne, she combines yarning, storytelling, visual learning, practical activities and flexible assessment approaches to create accessible, engaging and responsive training relevant to community needs.

Recognising that meaningful learning begins with trust and connection, Rebecca adapts her teaching to meet learners where they are. She championed face-to-face delivery when online learning created barriers and embeds literacy, digital and communication skills throughout her programs. Through strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations, government agencies and service providers, she ensures training reflects local priorities and workforce needs.

A North Regional TAFE Tertiary Teaching Scholarship recipient, Rebecca is pursuing postgraduate study in higher education while mentoring colleagues and sharing evidence-based practice.

Through her commitment to culturally responsive education, she is helping learners build skills, strengthen communities and create positive change across the Pilbara.
