As one of Australia’s largest luxury motor yacht builder, Riviera employs more than 800 craftspeople, including 140 apprentices, at its manufacturing facility on the Gold Coast.

In partnership with Major Training Group, a registered training organisation that provides education for priority trades in South East Queensland, Riviera recently opened a purpose-built onsite training facility where its boat building workforce can undertake nationally recognised training.

Known as the Riviera Academy of Excellence, this facility is equipped to train boat builders in a wide variety of trades, including marine craft construction, engineering, carpentry, electrotechnology, polymer processing, upholstery, cabinet making and furniture finishing.

Riviera nurtures a talented and committed workforce to produce world class motor yachts. It provides hands-on learning integrated with real-world production, and its training approach was recognised at the 2022 World Boat Builders Awards.
