Shane Vincent

Shane is a passionate advocate for mental health inclusion, and his vocational pathway has significantly empowered his personal growth and professional impact. 

Shane completed a Certificate IV in Mental Health through The Australian Academy of Media, gaining practical skills in communication, support, and inclusive practice. The qualification has also shaped his empathetic leadership style. As Inclusion Manager for a peak body in Canberra, Shane strives to make workplaces more accessible for people with mental health conditions and disabilities. 

Initially considering an academic pathway in psychology, Shane opted for a vocational pathway and it was the right choice, providing the clarity and practical skills he needed for direct community impact. 

The communication skills he honed through his training have fostered a deeper understanding of diversity, enabling him to advocate more effectively for inclusive practices in organisations. Through his valuable hands-on learning experience, Shane is bringing unity back to community in Canberra.
