Inspired by family memories in her grandparents’ café-restaurant, Stavriana is turning her passion for baking into a piping-hot career. She is a rising talent in the baking industry.
Stavriana is a Year 12 student at Mildura Senior College. She is completing a Certificate III in Baking and a Certificate III in Bread Baking through Federation TAFE (RTO), and she is employed as an apprentice baker at Sunraysia Bread and Butter Bakery.
Stavriana’s strong work ethic takes the cake. For a start, she is completing two baking qualifications alongside her Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). She is also a shift worker, starting at 2am every Wednesday to prepare dough, after which she completes a full day of study at school.
With her family roots in the hospitality industry, Stavriana appreciates the joy and connection that food can bring. Through her school-based apprenticeship, Stavriana is rolling out an exciting future in baking.
