Tahlia Mundraby-Holmes is a Year 12 student at FNQ Vocational Academy, completing a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology with MTA Institute. At BDS Mechanical Repairs Aus Tahlia spends two days each week learning the trade she first discovered beside her grandfather, who inspired her  love of fixing cars and machinery.

Since starting her apprenticeship, Tahlia has built experience servicing heavy vehicles, diagnosing faults and overhauling engines. She takes pride in solving problems, learning from experienced tradespeople and developing the technical skills needed to succeed in the industry.

Beyond the workshop, Tahlia is a Queensland under-19 boxing champion and a positive role model for her younger siblings, cousins and community. Inspired by those who believed in her, Tahlia hopes to become a qualified tradeswoman and encourage more young women to pursue their dreams.

With determination in the workshop and discipline in the boxing ring, Tahlia is building the skills and confidence to succeed wherever her future takes her.
