Tiarna’s journey into construction began unexpectedly. Working as a site cleaner on Tasmania’s Bridgewater Bridge project, her potential was recognised by the project contractor, who offered her a business administration traineeship. Tiarna joined the site administration team and was quickly promoted to the role of Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Administrator, her current position.
Having completed her Certificate III in Business traineeship through NDA Training Tasmania, Tiarna has never looked back. She has led school tours, presented to community groups, earned an international engagement certificate and received a scholarship from the National Association for Women in Construction. Tiarna’s training journey has transformed her self-belief and made her a role model for women in construction.
Tiarna has truly found her passion. She loves being part of her construction family and hopes to pay it forward by mentoring the next generation of young women entering the industry.
