Diploma of Project Management

RTO: BSI Learning

Employer: NSW Department of Communities and Justice

Tracie is passionate about helping people. With a background working in youth mental health and homelessness, Tracie developed an interest in justice studies and was hired as a Service and Programs Officer for the New South Wales Department of Communities and Justice, Corrective Services, where she delivers programs that reduce reoffending and help build safer communities.

Loving her work, Tracie was enticed by an opportunity too good to ignore. “I heard a team was exploring ways digital technology could extend the reach of therapeutic services and I just had to be a part of it,” says Tracie. “From the moment I started working, I was inspired!”

To bolster her skillset, Tracie took on a Diploma of Project Management with BSI Learning around the same time as stepping into the project lead role, loving the real-world grounding of her qualification.

Now, Tracie is studying a Bachelor of Criminal Justice. Acknowledging the role that mentor’s played in her pathway, she formally mentors and supports other vocational students.

By completing her Diploma of Project Management, Tracie’s gained new skills, friends, confidence and has progressed her career.
