Troy undertook an apprenticeship with AP Bathrooms and studied a Certificate III in Plumbing at TAFE NSW. He found the TAFE NSW practical rooms offered crucial resources he didn’t have at work. “They gave me an opportunity to try different aspects of the plumbing trade,” says Troy. “I discovered my strengths, worked on my weaknesses and developed my passions.” Troy plans to pursue a Certificate IV in Plumbing. Knowing his teachers are industry professionals has also encouraged him to work towards vocational teaching so he can mentor the next generation of plumbers.
