Certificate III in Individual Support

Ashlee Gilder dreams of being a midwife and started an Australian School-based Apprenticeship (ASbA) in Individual Support alongside her HSC as a first step to achieving her goal.

Ashlee is proud to be one of the three students offered the first Personal Care Assistant traineeships at Palmerston Regional Hospital.

Ashlee finds great pleasure working in a diverse workplace environment where she assists patients of differing needs. She believes this training will be invaluable when she becomes a midwife and assists women on their journey to motherhood.

Since beginning her ASbA, Ashlee has developed her communication and organisational skills, both of which she will need to rely on as a midwife.
