Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) is committed to providing quality learning and teaching in its 79 schools, four early learning centres and two Trade Training Centres in western Sydney.
The CEDP trade training program is unique as it offers quality education for students providing a supportive environment and structure to complete school studies and Stage 1 of an apprenticeship.
The two Catholic Trade Training Centres embody CEDP’s strategic intent to offer a flexible schooling experience for Year 11 and 12 students wanting to pursue a career in a vocational field. Students are able to start the first year of an apprenticeship in their chosen trade while they complete their Higher School Certificate. The centres are located at Loyola Senior High in Mt Druitt and McCarthy Catholic College at Emu Plains.
The success of this program is measured by the high numbers of school based apprenticeships and a retention rate of 95%.
