Certificate IV in Hospitality

Clarisse Ambroise started working in the hospitality industry in 2016 when she moved to Australia from France. After waitressing in fine-dining restaurants for two years, she decided to formalise her training and enrol in a Certificate IV in Hospitality at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT).
Clarisse plans to learn everything she can about hospitality and then work towards an advanced diploma of management. Passionate about wine, Clarisse also wants to take a sommelier course.
Clarisse was working as front of house staff at café La Baguette where she trained as a barista. She was then given an opportunity to manage the business’s social media platforms and also catered events.
She studies at night online and her CIT supervisor visits her workplace to test her practical skills.
Clarisse says she likes to challenge herself and enjoys providing customers with friendly, professional and personalised service.
