Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Kim Dick’s proficiency in mine operations saw his employer, Roy Hill, approach him to move into a training and assessment role so he could impart his knowledge and skills on to others; from new starters to existing industry operators. Kim now believes the value of education and training is more than the practicalities. It has taught him to expect more of himself and realise that opportunities can be boundless if you allow it. Through Kim’s training and self-development, his computer literacy skills have developed tenfold, from initially being unable to turn on a computer to now confidently delivering training modules to groups of his peers on iPads. Kim maintains a high standard of training delivery, ensuring he is compliant with internal and national training standards by maintaining a current skill set through ongoing training and by acquiring additional qualifications.
