St Columban’s College is a dynamic 7-12 college in Caboolture, QLD. Their training operations are characterised by outstanding facilities, and an innovative and collaborative training environment with reciprocal training partnerships.
The college delivers training in 20 national qualifications over 9 industry areas, supports at least 90 school-based apprentices/trainees annually and employs 19 trainees. The Trade Training Centre provides quality training in hospitality, kitchen operations, and hairdressing, yielding significant outcomes for employment for students and a beneficial impact for the whole community.
Strong industry engagement and strategic community and training partnerships have enhanced opportunities for training delivery, creating employment opportunities for students. The college is situated in a major Health and Education precinct, and is a charter member of the Caboolture Health Care Alliance and stakeholder in Caboolture Hospital Health Academy. The college also is a Food, Wine and Tourism Gateway to Industry school, and this facilitates engagement with the emerging regional wine, and strong tourism/hospitality industries.
