The Sunshine Coast Technical Trade Training Centre (SCTTTC) began in 2011 through a partnership between Beerwah, Caloundra, Kawana Waters and Meridan State schools.

The leaders of these schools recognised the demand for future tradespeople on the Sunshine Coast to meet industry needs.

In its first year, SCTTTC had 30 students enrolled in four partner schools. Its reputation has grown immensely and in 2017 there were 179 students from 34 schools across the Sunshine Coast.

More than 400 local employers have hosted the SCTTTCs students for structured workplace learning, resulting in solid employment outcomes for young graduates.

Student numbers transitioning into employment or further education and training is increasing. Around 82 per cent of 2017 graduates are employed or doing further education and training. This is testament to the incredible work of the dedicated and motivated people at SCTTTC who work together to achieve success for their students.
