Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
Taila Simsons has worked with Aquatots Swim School for 5 years, and wanted to expand her skills within leadership and management. She felt that undertaking the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management would give her the tools needed to progress within the Aquatots business. The traineeship model was the best fit for her lifestyle and the flexibility of classes meant that completing her study while working was achievable. Taila has already been able to utilise the knowledge she gained from her traineeship within her workplace, having taken on leadership roles at Aquatots by providing in house training for all staff. Organising and running these training sessions also gives Taila a platform to enhance her public speaking. In her personal life, Taila has represented the ACT in basketball, swimming and competitive skipping. Taila has also started her own business called “ACT Mermaids” which produces mermaid performers for fundraising functions and events.
