Tylah completed her Certificate III in Business through the Australian Training Company, with host employer the Australian National University (ANU) College of Science.

She was excited to work and study business concurrently, as she felt it would give her the balance she was looking for in her first year out of school

During her traineeship, Tylah experienced enormous growth in her confidence and self-esteem, which helped her to accept challenges and new tasks.

Seeing her potential for growth, Tylah’s employer gave her more responsibilities, such as purchasing local Indigenous artwork and organising launch events.

Tylah recently accepted a 24-month contract with the ANU, commencing a new traineeship in a Certificate IV in Business. She hopes to see young people like her siblings create opportunities for themselves later on in life via a VET pathway as she has done.
