The countdown is officially on. Nominations for the 2026 Australian Training Awards are now open, and it is the perfect opportunity to recognise the people and organisations raising the bar for vocational education and training (VET) across Australia.
The Australian Training Awards celebrate the achievements, innovation and commitment that underpin our VET system. Each year the program shines a spotlight on individuals and organisations helping Australians build the skills they need for work and for life.
This year’s event will take place in Sydney, bringing together finalists, state and territory winners and the wider VET community. Winning an Australian Training Award is more than receiving a trophy. It is national recognition of the meaningful impact you or your organisation makes in communities across the country.
Categories open for nomination
If you or someone you know are making a real difference in VET, you can nominate in the categories below.
Finalists from these categories will join state and territory winners at the annual gala event in Sydney later this year.
All finalists will also have the chance to join the Australian VET Alumni, a passionate group of VET advocates who share their stories across Australia and globally. It is a unique opportunity to inspire future leaders and raise the profile of skills-based careers.
How to nominate
Nominations can be submitted on the Australian Training Award website and will close on 20 May 2026.
