The Chef: Colin’s Story

A qualified fitter and turner, Colin Wilson worked in various jobs and industries for twenty years before deciding to pursue his passion for food and cooking. In 2008 and nearing his mid thirties, he undertook a Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery). Now, he is a fully qualified Chef and works at the reputable Chatau Yering’s Sweetwater Cafe located in the Yarra Valley in Victoria.

Colin is passionate about encouraging others thinking about a change of career to follow in his footsteps.

Colin was awarded the Australian Apprentice of the Year at the 2011 Australian Training Awards.
