The Skills for Sustainability – Educational Institution Award was presented from 2009 to 2013 to registered training organisations that demonstrated outstanding achievement in embedding sustainability principles through its programs, products and work practices in the provision of nationally recognised training.
Green Business Audit and Training delivers education, training and commercial strategies promoting sustainability and sustainable work practices.
Established to provide quality nationally recognised training, the company harnesses current thinking in sustainability, and employs trainers and administrators who have qualifications, values and ethics grounded in sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
In November 2013, Green Business Audit and Training won the Skills For Sustainability – Educational Institution Award which ran from 2009 to 2013 to recognise registered training organisations that have demonstrated outstanding achievement in embedding sustainability principles through their programs, products and work practices in the provision of nationally recognised training.
"We did not expect to win, this is our first time we have nominated for the Awards we’re a small registered training organisation, we’ve been in business for about four years now and this is an amazing accolade for our students and our staff," said Caz Saunders, Director of Green Business Audit and Training.
With a focus on delivering green skills training for the sustainability and energy efficiency sector, the company offers seven specialist programs in carbon management, energy efficiency and sustainability auditing, a critical skills growth area.
"Green Business Audit and Training is a registered training organisation that was specifically set up to deliver sustainability skills to industry. We only offer sustainability qualifications and are specifically designed to educate our students in understanding sustainability and applying it in the workplace.
"Sustainability cuts across all industries. It is about risk management, about moving a business forward and most importantly it is about understanding your impact on the earth and trying to minimise that wherever possible," Caz said.
