Sydney resident Ashlee Hodson initially commenced a teaching degree at university but decided she preferred a more hands on style of learning. After securing an Australian Apprenticeship with Bankstown City Council, she has moved up the ranks and is now a corporate support officer for the organisation She has nearly three nationally recognised qualifications under her belt.

As an Australian Apprenticeships Ambassador for the Australian Government, Ashlee is keen to ensure others in her community know about the opportunities available too. When Ashlee completes her current studies, she plans to complete a Bachelor of Arts and continue her career in local government. Ashlee won the Australian Apprentice (Trainee) of the Year at the 2013 Australian Training Awards. The award recognises the most outstanding Australian Apprentice (Trainee) in Australia.
